The ground is partially visible on the bottom of the photograph. The shuttle has the words “Enterprise // NASA // United States” in black with an American flag design on the body. The bottom left corner of the image reads "The Spaceship that lands on Earth. On 12 August 1977, the Space Shuttle orbiter Enterprise made // its first free-flight landing at Edwards Air Force Base, California, after separating from the 747 Shuttle carrier // aircraft. Astronauts Haise and Fullerton were at the controls of the Enterprise." The bottom right corner reads "Rockwell International // Space Division."
