DescriptionPhotograph, Black and white; Official horizontal image of a Douglas A-4 Skyhawk from Anti-Submarine Fighter Squadron 3 (VSF-3) landing on USS Intrepid. The aircraft is about to hit the crash barricade. The barricade is a large net with vertical straps that is stretched across the landing area of the flight deck. Arresting cables are visible on the flight deck. Other aircraft are partially in view at left. The sea is calm and the sky is clear.
