Robert M. Roof

Robert M. Roof enlisted in the U.S. Navy on May 6, 1943, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He joined the commissioning crew of the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid (CV-11) on August 16, 1943. Roof was a seaman first class and worked as a gunner. He left the ship's crew on February 14, 1946, for discharge.
