Stuart Gelband

Stuart Gelband served in the U.S. Navy from 1969 to 1972. He served on board the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid (CVS-11) from January 1970 to April 1972. He was a machinist’s mate third class (MM3) in the M Division and worked in the aft engine room.

After his time in the Navy, Gelband worked for the U.S. Postal Service. He is involved in the USS Intrepid Association and volunteers for the Intrepid Museum. The Museum has interviewed Gelband for the oral history collection (OHP.129).
