Albert J. Watson

Albert J. "Bud" Watson served on board the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid (CV-11) during World War II. He was first received on board the ship on January 8, 1945. Watson is initially listed on the muster roll an aviation machinist's mate second class (AMM2). He was later promoted to first class. Watson died on April 17, 1945 of wounds received as a result of a kamikaze attack the previous day. He was posthumously awarded the Silver Star.
