R. Nicholas Chapman

Raymond Nicholas Chapman served on board the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid (CVS-11). He served on the ship for the 1972–1973 cruise and remained as part of the decommissioning crew in 1974. Chapman was the H Division Officer in the Medical Department, and he oversaw sick bay. He held the rank of lieutenant during his time on Intrepid. He retired from the U.S. Navy as a lieutenant commander after 23 years of service.
