C. Philip Smith

Cyril Philip Smith served on board the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid (CVS-11) during the ship's decommissioning in 1974. He was one of the decommissioning officers and was the head of the weapons department, known as the “gun boss.” His rank was commander.
