Richard G. Ryder

Richard G. Ryder, from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 to 1979. He served on board the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid (CVS-11) from 1965 until 1966. On Intrepid, he was a hospital corpsman first class (HM1). He worked in sick bay as a pharmacy technician and division petty officer. He later attained the rank of lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy Medical Service Corps.
