DescriptionPhotograph, Black and white; Horizontal modern reprint image of a bearded, light-skinned man in dungarees leaning on a bollard on a pier at the Naval Facility in Adak, Alaska. The submarine USS Growler’s sail is on the right side of the image and the vessel is moored to the dock. Men are on the deck and an American flag is flying at the aft end of the submarine. Two pulleys hang down in the center of the image. There is a rocky shoreline across a body of water in the background. The back has “Adak” written in black ink.On View
