DescriptionDigitized photograph, Color; Square image of Michael Perrett squatting on top of the submarine USS Growler’s port missile hangar while the submarine is in transit. Perrett is wearing a heavy deck jacket, dungarees and a white “Dixie cup” hat. He has light skin. Growler’s sail is behind him, and San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge is in the distance. A wake is visible behind the submarine. There is a white border around the image and white paper residue near the top edge.
