DescriptionPhotograph, Black and white; Horizontal image of movie star Rhonda Fleming visiting a patient in sick bay. The photograph was taken from one side of a patient's bunk, looking through to the other side. The patient, whose back is to the camera, is lying in his rack and is covered by a white sheet. His head is propped up on his elbow. Fleming is wearing a light colored coat and a scarf over her hair. She is leaning over and talking to the man in bed. A lieutenant commander in a blue Navy uniform is standing next to Fleming. He is smiling at the patient. All three people have light skin. There is a white border around the image. The back has “In sickbay // Rhonda Fleming // with LCDR Robert de Sorenzi” and “Released // If published credit // must be given as follows // ‘Official photograph // U.S. Navy’” written and stamped in black ink.On View
