The white fabric patch is in the shape of a pentagon, with the base at the top and vertex pointing down. From top to bottom the patch depicts an eagle with outstretched wings, an aviation radio technician rating insignia, and three chevrons embroidered in dark blue thread. The rating insignia is a three sparks or lightning bolts with wings.
