DescriptionPatch, Military; U.S. Navy machinist's mate second class (MM2) rating badge. The white fabric is in the shape of a pentagon, with the base at the top and vertex pointing down. From top to bottom the patch depicts an eagle with outstretched wings, a machinist’s mate rating insignia, and two chevrons embroidered in dark blue thread. The rating insignia is a three-bladed ship's propeller. The edges of the patch are frayed.Reverse side has the year "1943" embroidered in dark blue thread.
