DescriptionPhotograph, Color; Personal square image of a Douglas A-4 Skyhawk traveling down the catapult having just been launched off of Intrepid's flight deck. There are flight deck personnel visible next to and behind the aircraft and other crewmembers visible on the island. The video booth is visible on the island and there are two crewmembers in it filming the flight operations. There is another aircraft partially visible at the foot of the island with "201" on the nose. The sea beyond the ship is calm and the sky is cloudy. There is a white border around the image.Donor note reads "Medical Department // U.S.S. Intrepid CVS-11 // A-4 going down the cat" in black and blue ink.
