DescriptionPhotograph, Color; Personal square image of a Grumman E-1B Tracer of VFW-121 Det.11, on Intrepid's flight deck. Identification markings on the aircraft visible are "702" on the nose and "02" on the front. There are crewmembers standing around the aircraft and an office in a khaki uniform is walking away from the camera next to the Tracer. Intrepid's island is seen in the background and several crewmembers are seen sitting and standing at various levels. Other aircraft can be seen lined up to the aft of the flight deck. The sea around the ship is calm and the sky is cloudy. There is a white border around the image.Donor note reads "Medical Department // U.S.S. Intrepid CVS-11 // Willy Fudd on Starb'd // Catapult" in black and blue ink.
