DescriptionPhotograph, Black and white; Official horizontal image of the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid's flight deck looking forward with a large wave cresting over the bow of ship. The tracks for the two steam catapults are visible on the flight deck, with the outline of the forward aircraft carrier between them. "11" can be seen on the forward end of the flight deck. The sky is cloudy. The image is slightly blurry. There is a white border around the image.
