DescriptionPhotograph, Black and white; Official horizontal image of two rows of sailors in dress white uniforms standing over the flag wrapped bodies of the members of Gun Tub 10 killed in the kamikaze attack on USS Intrepid on October 29, 1944. The front row of sailors are light-skinned and the second row of sailors are dark-skinned. The memorial service, to be followed by burial at sea, is taking place in the hangar deck. There is a group of other crewmembers watching in the background.
