DescriptionPhotograph, Black and white; Official horizontal image of USS Intrepid in dry dock to repair torpedo damage. The view shows the starboard side of the hull near the stern. "Keep Clear // Jury Rudder" is painted in light paint on the starboard side near the stern. The rig for the jury rudder extends from the painted words down toward the bottom of the hull. To the right of the rig is a shell patch on the hull of the ship. Scaffolding surrounds the bottom of the ship. One of the ship's propellers, or screws, is visible at right. There is a man on the starboard side of the ship looking away. There are two men visible on the bottom of the dry dock next to the ship.
