DescriptionPhotograph, Black and white; Official horizontal image of USS Intrepid in dry dock to repair torpedo damage. The view shows the port side of the stern of the ship, from the fantail down to the keel. The side of the ship reads "Keep Clear // Jury Rudder" in light paint. The rig for the jury rudder extends down the side of the hull, while the rudder itself has been removed. Scaffolding surrounds the bottom of the ship. There is a man on the ship, near the jury rudder sign, looking down. Three other men look down from a level above. Other men are at the bottom of the dry dock and on the scaffolding.
