He wears a light colored army uniform with rolled sleeves and shorts, a hat and tall boots. Behind him stands a Chinese child wearing traditional attire of white top and pants and a green vest. They both have medium skin and the child has dark hair. In the background, bodies lie on the ground covered with white cloth. A damaged wood pole leans to the left with a green pagoda-like structure in the distance. Text on the poster reads "China // carries on // United China Relief // Member agency of the National War Fund". There is Chinese lettering in orange vertically on the right.
