Ronald L. Wishman

BiographyRonald L. Wishman served in the U.S. Navy from 1965 to 1968. He served on board the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid (CVS-11) from 1966 to 1968 as an aviation machinist's mate (jet engine mechanic) second class, ADJ2. During his service, Intrepid made two combat deployments to the Gulf of Tonkin during the Vietnam War. Wishman was initially assigned to the V-6 Division in the Air Department. During this period, he was attached to the Aviation Ground Support Equipment and Aircraft Engine Buildup Shops. He was also temporarily assigned to the ship's landing party. In 1967, he was transferred to the V-4 Division, where he worked on the flight deck fueling aircraft. After his naval service, Wishman worked as a tool and die maker. He passed away on July 20, 2017.
