DescriptionPhotograph, Black and white; Horizontal image of a U.S. Navy band performing. The men in the band, who are all enlisted, are wearing dress blue jumpers. Each man is seated with a music stand in front of him, and a conductor is standing at the front of the group. The men have light skin and most have dark hair. The front row consists of three saxophone players. Also visible are trombones, trumpets and a piano. The trombone on the far right has a mute in the bell. The neck of a standup bass is visible near the conductor. There is a white border around the image. The image is a loose photograph found in a scrapbook (2015.62.01).
