Subjects include: Colonial Williamsburg; Pan American and Swiss Air flight terminals; flight operations including planes flying in formation; crossing the line ceremony; the recovery of pilot Sam Hawkins of VA-34 with a HS-2 (Det 11) Kaman UH-2B Seasprite; shots of Saigon (now Ho Chi Minh City) in Vietnam where Rivers served with the 7th Air Force; views of USS Intrepid shot from a helicopter, with Douglas A-4 Skyhawks, Grumman E-1B Tracers, and Douglas A-1 Skyraiders launching and landing; Miss America and court on flight deck; and a zoo, probably in Saigon, including bears (possibly sloth bears) and elephants.The white plastic reel has “Robert W. Rivers // 1165 No. Coleman Rd. // Roswell, GA 30075 // Tape begins in Williamsburg, VA // then onto Intrepid. Looks like it // begins with a fly over (?)” and “#1” written in black ink. The center of reel has “Tayloreel Corporation // www.tayloreel.com” and a recycling symbol imprinted on it.
