BiographyRobert W. Rivers served on board the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid (CVS-11) in 1967, during the ship's second deployment during the Vietnam War. Rivers served with Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron 12 (VAW-12) as a naval flight officer (NFO). He was a lieutenant junior grade.
