DescriptionPhotograph, Color; Square image of a berthing compartment. The racks or bunks are stacked three high. The bunks are on metal poles and there are storage drawers under the mattresses. One drawer on the top bunk is open. There are white sheets and pillows on the bunks. The top bunk, closest to the photographer, has graffiti of “Chiasson” written on it. There are lockers on either end of the bunks, secured with locks. The floor is tiled in a red and black checkerboard pattern. Pipes are visible above the top level of bunks. There is a white border around the image. The back of the photograph is stamped, “Print // made // by // Kodak // July 72R” and is captioned in black pen, “Bunks”.On View
