Map; Map is a section of a larger map showing the Pacific Theater. There are light pencil lines and tiny holes throughout the map. According to donor:
"This map was kept by Mr. Semple’s parents and was used to track where Intrepid was operating. According to Ms. Semple, Mr. Semple and his parents each had an identical map of the Pacific. Mr. Semple would poke holes in his letters home, and then his parents would hold the letter up to their map, which would pinpoint his location."
Back of map has "(son) Dicks secret map he sent // me while in the W War 2. I kept // track of all maneuvers this // way. // Loree Semple // Lake O'Springs - Canton, Ohio" handwritten in blue ink.
