The John M. Duthie Papers contain items from his service aboard USS Intrepid as an ordnance officer and other papers from his service during World War II, including an invitation and program from Intrepid's commissioning and first commissioning anniversary, and ship printed papers such as ship's newspapers, plans of the day, and crossing the line ephemera. Other papers include training certificates, booklets and newspaper clippings covering the war and Intrepid's involvement.
