DescriptionMug; Cream-colored glazed ceramic mug with a handle on one side. There is gold enamel around the top rim, around the base and around the edges of the handle. The base of the mug curves slightly inward. On one face there is a gold and black image of submariner's dolphins. The submarine warfare insignia depicts two dolphin fish flanking a surfaced submarine moving through water. Below the image is black text that reads "U.S.S. Growler (SSG-577)". On the opposite face there is black text that reads "Gunnery" in the center. It appears that at one point the words "Ken Cox" were present on the mug but have since been removed so that only a faint outline remains. There is a brown stamp on the bottom of the mug that has an outline shaped like a painter's palette. Brown text in the center reads "American // Decorations Inc. // 19 Coates Street // Trenton ?".On View
