DescriptionPhotograph, Black and white; Official vertical image of two men and one woman. The woman, Ann Gargas, is wearing a U.S. Navy WAVES uniform. The man in the middle is wearing a U.S. Navy officer's dress blue uniform. The man on the right, James Patterson, is wearing a U.S. Navy enlisted dress blue uniform with a radioman second class patch. They are standing in a ship space and all are looking directly at the camera. There is a white border around the image.

Caption on back reads: "80-G-241434 9 May 1944 A wedding on Intrepid's deck. Patterson // and his new wife Ann with Chaplain Lt. Cmdr. Donald // Kelly. Catholic Priest from carrier Independence CVL22".

In right hand reverse corner is stamped "Credit National Archives" underneath handwritten is "80-G-241434"
