DescriptionLantern, Battle; Red ship's lantern (a) with silver bracket (b), and four black plastic caps (c-f). a) Rectangular red battle lantern with red metal handle affixed to the center top. The top of the lantern is secured to the base with six nuts and screw bolts around the outer top edge. From the face of the lantern extends a circular metal plate that has a round glass cover in the center, over an interior small glass light bulb. The face plate is secured with six nuts and screw bolts around the outer edge. Engraved on the top center outer edge of the lantern face is "5293-L-4". Engraved on the top center of the glass is “5293-L-8”. Engraved on the proper right side is “5311-L-1”. On the back of the lantern is a mounting bracket. The bracket is attached to the lantern with four covered bolts and protrudes away from the body of the lantern. Engraved text on the bottom edge of the mount reads "Delta // Elect. Co. // Marion // Indiana // Made in // U.S.A."
b) Rectangular silver metal bracket with vertical oval hole cut out of the center. Below the hole is an engraving with the numbers "52931-48”.
c-f) Four black plastic caps with vertical ridges around the outer edge.
