DescriptionLighter; Silver lighter with a flip lid. Engraved designs of blue enameled submarine warfare insignia or submariner's dolphin on the lid, and first circular USS Growler insignia on the body that reads “USS Growler // SSG 577” and the Latin motto “Telo utor // peregrinabor” (have missile, will travel). The insignia’s imagery depicts the globe and has a blue border and yellow continents. Growler is positioned in the Atlantic Ocean with a Regulus II missile taking off in the center of the image. The bottom has "Bradford, PA // Zippo ® // Pat. 2517191" and seven dots that date the lighter to 1959 imprinted on it.On View
