DescriptionSlide, Color; Horizontal image of USS Intrepid and other ships of the U.S. Navy fleet sailing through choppy waters. The aerial photograph shows Intrepid at the center of the image with aircraft parked on the aft end of the flight deck. There are two ships on the port side and a third ship out of sight with just the wake visible. Another three ships are sailing along the starboard side. The hull numbers of the other vessels are difficult to read, but two of them vessels appear to be USS Connole (DE-1056) and USS O'Callahan (DE-1051). There is a white border around the image.A modern reprint photograph of slide was donated and put in file that has "CVS-11 & CAG-56 // East LANT Cruise // April - October 1971" written on the back.
The slide mount has "Made in U.S.A." printed in red on one side and "Color // transparency" printed in red twice on the other side.
