DescriptionSlide, Color; Personal horizontal image of USS Intrepid at sea with a view of the port side aircraft elevator and into the hangar deck, where one of the ship's small boats is visible. There are aircraft with folded wings on the flight deck and "11" is painted in white on the island. The ship's radar masts are clearly visible. Sailors in white U.S. Navy enlisted uniforms are visible on the port side aircraft elevator and along the ship. The sea is partially visible and the sky is clear. The photograph is slightly blurry and appears to have been taken from another vessel. An American flag is partially visible in the foreground at right.Slide mount has “5 // Made in U.S.A.” printed in red on one side and “Kodachrome // Transparency” printed in red twice with a red border on the other side.
