DescriptionPhotograph, Black and white. Official horizontal image of a tanker steaming next to USS Intrepid's bow after the two ships have nearly collided. "Drafn" is printed on the tanker's stern, and it is traveling away from Intrepid. Catwalks along the side of Intrepid are visible at right. Some aircraft can be seen on the flight deck. The sky is calm beyond the ships and the water appears choppy. There is a white border around the image.Back of image has "CVA -11 2365-14 10-61 Date Oct 28 1961 // U.S.S.
