Text in black on two sides reads “Cream, Protective // Flashburn // Two (2) Ounces Net // Stock No. SI-2366 // West Disinfecting Co., Long Island City, N.Y.” On one side there is a handwritten inscription in pencil that reads “James Clark”.
Gray tube of flash burn cream (b) with black pointed plastic cap. Black text on the front reads “2 Oz. Net // Cream, Protective, // Flashburn // (Naval Medical // Research Institute) // For // The Prevention // Of Flashburns”. Black text on the back of the tube reads “Directions // Use point of cap to pierce // opening. Replace cap to pre- // serve contents. // Cover exposed parts of skin // with a layer of cream so // that the skin will not show // through. It will dry in five // minutes and like a garment // protect against ordinary // flash burns. Re-apply if lay- // er is thinned by perspiration // or rain.
