DescriptionPhotograph, Color; Digital horizontal color image of USS Intrepid crew members on the port side of the ship's island. The crew members are looking at the flight deck, toward the camera. Many crew members have cameras, and others have their fingers in their ears. Many are wearing white t-shirts, while others are wearing the U.S. Navy dungaree working uniform. A few are wearing headphones and the long-sleeved colored shirts of the flight deck personnel. The sky is clear and blue behind the island. The image was taken from an officer in an F-4 Phantom that mistakenly landed on Intrepid instead of the USS Coral Sea.On View
