DescriptionSlide, Color; Square image looking from the catwalk forward to the port side aircraft elevator with a McDonnell Douglas Phantom II in the center, numbered “210”. The two glass pilot windows are open. Members of USS Intrepid’s crew have painted or tagged the plane with graffiti, “Fly 3”, “VA 145”, a blue blaster’s logo, and other division and squadron names throughout. The plane has been tagged because it is from another ship, the USS Coral Sea, and landed mistakenly on board Intrepid. There is a flight deck crew member wearing a green shirt, blue pants and a white helmet standing on the deck to the right. Safety nets are in the foreground on the lower left of the image. The tail of an A4 Skyhawk with bureau number, “149518” is in the upper right corner of the image.Slide mount has “Ektachrome” printed twice in blue on one side.
