DescriptionPhotograph, Color; Personal horizontal image of USS Gudgeon (SS-567) docked in Pearl Harbor. The submarine's sail has "567" painted in white and a small wooden sign that reads "USS Gudgeon" painted in white. There is a gangplank leading from the submarine to the dock with two wooden signs that read "Gudgeon // 567 // Gudgeon" painted in gold and white paint. There is one sailor at the top of the sail wearing a U.S. Navy dungaree work uniform and an enlisted white cap, also known as a "Dixie cup." Three men are walking along the top of the submarine: two officers in service khaki uniforms and garrison caps and one enlisted sailor in a dungaree work uniform and enlisted white cap. There is one sailor partially visible wearing an enlisted dress white uniform standing in front of the gangplank. They all have light skin and medium to dark hair. There are cars and other boats visible in the distance and palm trees and mountains in the background. The sea is calm and the sky is blue and cloudy.Donor file name reads "Misc. Pearl 1."
