BiographyUel W. Smith served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1960. He served on board the submarine USS Growler (SSG-577) as a seaman (SN) from February 1959 to May 1960. He worked in the torpedo department. The Museum interviewed him for the oral history collection (OHP.113).
