Joseph Nespor Jr.

BiographyJoseph Nespor Jr. served on board the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid (CV-11) during World War II. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy on March 29, 1943. Nespor was a member of Intrepid's commissioning crew on August 16, 1943. He left the ship to be discharged on January 31, 1946. Nespor's rating was seaman first class at the time of discharge. His notice of separation indicates that he was qualified for aviation boatswain's mate (plane handlers) third class [ABM3 (PH)] and aviation machinist's mate third class (AMM3).
