BiographyGeorge B. DuBois served aboard the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid (CV-11) during World War II. He was a member of the ship's commissioning crew. DuBois worked on the catapult crew. At the time he joined the crew, he was an aviation machinist's mate third class (AMM3). DuBois was promoted at various points during his time on board Intrepid. When he left the ship on December 15, 1945, he was an aviation boatswain's mate (catapult) first class [ABM(CP)1].
