BiographyHarold E. Paff enlisted in the U.S. Navy in Indianapolis, Indiana, in the fall of 1942. He served on board the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid (CV-11) during World War II. Paff was a plank owner, a member of the ship's first crew. He served on board Intrepid until October 26, 1945. When he left the ship, he was a water tender second class, WT2.
