John W. White

BiographyJohn W. White, from Sebring, Ohio, joined the U.S. Navy in 1965. He served aboard the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid (CVS-11) as a photographer’s mate second class (PH2) from 1967 to 1969, during the ship's second and third Vietnam deployments. After leaving Intrepid, White remained in the Navy. He served aboard the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy (CV-67) as well as with Imaging Command, Intelligence Command, and NAVAIRSYSCOM. White also became a project manager for Navy Photo and retired from the Navy in 1994. The Museum interviewed White for the oral history collection (OHP.213).
