BiographyForrest E. Masters served in the U.S. Navy from March 16, 1941 to November 2, 1945. He served on board the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid (CV-11) as a dive bomber pilot in Bombing Squadron 18 (VB-18) in 1944. He participated in 21 bombing and strafing missions while flying from Intrepid, striking harbor installations and vessels. The Museum interviewed Masters for the oral history collections (OHP.131).
