Michael V. Martini

BiographyMichael V. Martini served in the U.S. Navy from 1935 to 1969. He served on board the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid (CVA-11) from approximately 1959 to 1962. During his time on Intrepid, Martini held the rank of commander. He served as the ship's engineering officer, and is identified in this role in the ship's 1960-1961 cruise book. He is pictured cutting his farewell cake in the subsequent book. Martini also served as the damage control officer on Intrepid.
