BiographyDonald Watts Jr. served on board the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid (CV-11) as an F6F Hellcat pilot with Fighting Squadron 18 (VF-18) in 1944. He later went on to serve in the Korean War as the commander of VF-874, which flew F4U Corsairs from USS Bon Homme Richard (CV-31).
