BiographyRalph C. DuPont III served on board the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid (CV-11) with Fighting Squadron 18 (VF-18) during World War II. He flew Grumman F6F Hellcats. DuPont went missing and was presumed dead during one of the first strikes over Formosa on October 12, 1944.
