DescriptionPhotograph, Black and white; Horizontal image of a damaged Piasecki HUP-2 Retriever. The propellers from the aircraft are missing and a large chunk of the back part of the helicopter is missing. The Retriever is from Helicopter Utility Squadron 2 (HU-2) and is bureau number 128511. There are flight deck crew members standing around the nose, and one is near the middle of the aircraft. The folded wings of McDonnell F2H Banshee airplanes are visible on either side of the helicopter. There is a white border around the image. The back of the photograph is captioned in handwriting, “Helicopter that crashed”.On View
