The back has “About 27 Dec 1961 // Barclay’s room, Stuttgart, Ger.” and “H176111 Polaroid” and “8” stamped in black and blue.Description from accompanying letter dated January 6, 1962 reads “One of the pictures was taken in Barclay’s room. She shares a suite with a grandmotherly Mrs. Adams. Barclay bought those rain boots while I was there. We shopped together. She’s wearing ski trousers. A boy wanted her to go skiing and she wanted me to go too but it was in Austria and I did not have the necessary papers for that country. So I talked her out of it.”
