DescriptionDoll, Decorative; Japanese souvenir doll of a woman on a black platform. The woman is wearing a traditional furisode style kimono with long sleeves. The kimono is black with a gold, white, and red floral pattern embroidered with metallic thread. The wide belt, or obi, is red with a gold metallic floral pattern and tied with an off-white string. She is wearing a large red hat tied under her chin with two large gold tassels. Her hair is done in the shimada style, tied with red and white ribbons, and has a bira-bira style kanzashi hair ornament of three dangling metal strips. She is possibly holding branches with leaves in her hands. The bottom of the black wooden base is not painted.On View
